New Year New Me...Top 5 goals of 2013

So at the beginning of last year I had not planned on getting pregnant so soon. That put everything on hold during 2012 and I didnt shoot many photos at all. This year Im back and ready to rock it like I have never rocked it before! The biggest thing im loving right now is being able to shoot as many photos as I want of my son. He is so fun and its only gonna get better as time goes on. I CANNOT wait til his first birthday photoshoot...I have lots of time to plan it out. Here is my goals from 2012 and what happened with those and also my top 5 goals of 2013! Look out Christine Ann is on the prowl!!!

2012 GOALS: THE TOP 5

1: Take a travel photo workshop. There is one in may in UTAH that I have my heart set on with Richard Bernebe Photography. Shooting there is one of my big dreams. The rock landscapes are AMAZING!
***This did not happen but I will never give up on this dream! Im sure in the future I will visit more than one place : )

2: Make some new photography purchases: IPad or Macbook air, lenses, An epiphanie bag and blow up some photos into gallery wraps for the studio!
***I got my epiphanie bag!!! I love it. Still waiting to purchase an Ipad and blow some photos up

3: To shoot at least 3 weddings (on my own or second shooting,I will do anything for more exposure)
***This did not happen. I have decided to change my photography route and focus on portraits, seniors and lifestyle. Weddings will only be done for friends/family or on a second shooter basis.

4: To gain more clients through facebook and advertising. I WILL find a way.
***This is an on going process....it never hurts to keep striving to get your name out there

5: To have a full blown website up by Dec 31, 2012
***A website has been put on the back burner for a while. As long as I have my blog, facebook, and some business cards...I will be content until I have the time and money to really focus on it.

2013 Goals: Top 5

1: Purchase a marketing kit. I have always wanted one and really think it is an important way to display your business to clients

2: New business card design. I had to change my phone number back in Feb so my old cards became obsolete!

3: Add a business phone line to my cell phone account: It will be for calls and voicemail only.

4: Sign up for a new online photo gallery hosting site...I have used Zenfolio in the past and want to look into what other photographers are using.

5: Purchase some new equipment: Ipad, a few new lenses and possibly a camera upgrade...Sony just came out with the A99!!!

Honestly it seems like I am starting over and in a way I am but I will always have the photos from the past that I took and look back on to see my growth. The number one saying I am living by right now is NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS!!! My ultimate goal in life is to go full time with photography and stay at home with my son. I wont stop until I get there. I know I can do it

Here is his christmas pic this year. What an amazing experience 2012 was...2013 will be even better : )
